About Us
Elizabeth and Keith
agree to disagree on Sunday! Modern-day “Romeo and Juliet”
Keith and Elizabeth aren’t separated by warring families,
but by warring football teams. That’s right. He is a
self-proclaimed rabid New York Giants fan. She’s a lifelong
devotee to the Philadelphia Eagles. Both like football, but
love to tailgate. The twosome started tailgating at professional
football games in 2002 when they met, although they were not
as popular, or noticeable, in the parking lot until the BlueBird
flew to town!
Before the BlueBird
tailgate vehicle, the couple traveled to games in a Dodge
Dakota pick-up truck. They knew they had outgrown the pick-up
truck when they could no longer see out of their rear window.
Their tailgate equipment tripled in quantity… and supplies
got larger; a bigger table, a bigger cooler, a 14-foot flagpole;
another tv. To accommodate their tailgate checklist, a plain
white box truck was purchased in September 2003 to help alleviate
the load. They have created a one-of-a-kind tailgating and
party van as their vehicle of choice. The van was custom-designed
and painted by airbrush artist Art Simpson of Newark, Delaware.
One half of the van is painted Giants’ blue with a vast
airbrushed New York Giants helmet and the words “Go
Big Blue” adorning on the back. The other half is decorated
in Eagles’ green with a matching helmet and the words
“Fly Eagles Fly,” thereby completely confusing
all passers-by. The inside of the van resembles a living room
more than a vehicle, containing a couch, carpet, paneling,
and two televisions -- so that Moodie and the rest of their
'tailgate neighbors' can watch two games simultaneously. Then
for the 2004 Season they got two 32" flat screens and
custom designed benches that are also extra storage space
and of course one is Eagles and the other Giants. For the
2005 Season they are going to be adding Sirius radio and speakers
off the back of the truck.
BlueBird Tailgate
began its’ tour on October 19, 2003 at
the Eagles vs. Giants game at the Meadowlands. The couple
is always looking for fun and crazy neighbors so please contact
them for tailgate details.
